Alpine School District works to Enculturate the Young into a Social and Political Democracy

The Alpine School District is promoting a controversial issue which has many parents concerned about their children's education. This link will explain what has happened. http://www.utahsrepublic.org/democracy-media-fiasco/
The Communist Manifesto has 10 planks or points of focus which will empower the state to move the people toward the ideals of socialism. One of them is government controlled schools.
Do you think this might have some association or relationship?
The title of this post is the exact wording of the effort by the Alpine School District's charge to teach students about our Democracy.
I see one major problem with this idea.... it is that we don't live in a "Democracy." We live in a REPUBLIC. Do you know the difference?
You can find the answer at this link. It is the best explanation I have come across.

I think we are being lead in a direction which is not good for our country. What do you think?

  2. I am so glad you posted this!! When arguing with a neighboor once about this exact thing (she thinking we are a democracy) I told her "ok, well then if you belive in the "MAJORITY RULE" then what if the "MAJORITY" said I can have your house and land? do u still belive in it?" That is why we are a Rebuplic!! Because GOD said we have rights!!! Iam so thankfull for parents like this women who take the time to find out what is going on in our school systems and then says it's NOT OK!! and does something about it! GOOD FOR HER!!

  3. Why was this posted? This was one woman's experience. Has any of this been validated. Thank you for educating us on the differences between a republic and a democracy but I think we might be bordering "witch hunting" and "mud slinging" with this Alpine School District thing. Do you really think the Apline School District and all of it's teachers are out to overthrow the Constitution? If you got a problem with a public school, get involved! Throw yourself into a good cause, a good education for ALL children...or is that against the constitution?
